Mikey Whalen is an indie songwriter who draws inspiration from the songwriting heavy hitters of decades past. His songs tell stories of lovable misfits and existential woes, sometimes melancholic, sometimes humorous, and often both. He writes and records his songs in his Portland home, which he has affectionately dubbed ‘Pinball Castle’.

I found my sound in New Orleans and sharpened it riding trains and hitchhiking across the country for over a decade, and have since made a life of writing original blues, americana, country-or-something music.
