Drunken Hearts are a Colorado-based outlaw country rock band blending desert highways, cinematic Americana, raw storytelling, and restless rock ‘n roll into a sound that feels both timeless and dangerously current. Led by singer/songwriter Andrew McConathy, the band has spent years building a loyal grassroots following through relentless touring and emotionally charged live shows across the country. What began as a hard-driving Front Range act has evolved into a band with a distinct voice and an ambitious creative vision.
Their upcoming album Break Never Bend, produced by six-time Grammy winner Steve Berlin (Los Lobos), marks the band’s boldest and most expansive work to date. The record explores a fractured modern America through stories of borders, inheritance, pride, violence, movement, and fading national mythology — an outlaw country rock album about what happens when people would rather break than compromise. Equal parts restless, wounded, defiant, and hopeful, Drunken Hearts are building a modern Americana rock record with something real to say.
The band welcomes very special guest Matthew “Rev” Rieger from ‘Lil Smokies!

Thicc from an early age, and gentle in nature, conventional social ladders proved challenging for a young Matthew Rieger. Homeschooled in the Pacific Northwest, he was nestled in to the church and given nothing but praise. After several debatably successful stints in music academia, he followed the only woman he ever loved to San Francisco. It was there that he would lose her, but find a love for songwriting.

His debut half-length record “I’m Doin Well” reminds us to be comfortable with imperfection. Drawing inspiration from Jeff Buckley, The Barr Brothers, and Paul Simon, he finds peace in the melancholy. Largely recorded by himself, but built on the influence of remarkable friends, heroes, and bandmates in The Lil Smokies, it is a a candid look at the spirit of Matthew Rieger.
