The name Bikini Drone evokes two recent interests: music that only makes sense in tropical climates, and music that sounds like washing machines wrote it. In the context of a patio with loud overlapping conversations, Martin and Yahn’s vocals sounded like more instruments in the ensemble, which included saxophone player Owen Evans. The timbre of their voices conveyed less lyrical stories and more added a tenor section that helped punctuate their bandmates’ funk-disco jams. The band’s tempo and energy waxed and waned with the audience, with the same symbiotic exchange DJs process on a dance floor in real time. People got up to dance at the two-hour set’s height, but six to eight of the two dozen patio guests stood rotating watch, swaying or at least nodding to the beat.
Reisender is the musical endeavor of west-coast songwriter & multi-instrumentalist Paul Conroy. Conroy crafts upbeat, moody, and eclectic synth & guitar-driven indie-pop anthems, and has opened for national artists including Drake Bell, Eisley, and Hippo Campus. His single “Generation 1099” has been described as “a seriously replay-worthy track” by the Bay Bridged, and his 2021 Album Fmly as “an indie/alt festival-ready collection of gems” by FourCulture. Reisender has toured across the western US as well as in Europe and Korea, and boasts both an international and local following. Conroy’s greatest personal influences are Paul Simon, Damon Albarn, Pixies, and Paul McCartney.

Shiloh first began sharing her songs as a solo artist in 2018. She’s a bit of a throwback, Mazzy Star fading into Sheryl Crow, with vocals many have likened to Dolores O’Riordan. She cites influences from 70’s folk classics, to 90s soft rock, to the indie pop of today. Her debut EP, All My Metaphors, released on April 22, 2022, is just an introduction to her emotive, image-driven lyricism.
Previously, she wrote and played with her band, Bird and Willow, formed with her brother Jared. Bird and Willow shared many Bay Area stages over the years, both with fellow local artists and some of their favorite touring acts like Sherwood, Fialta, Tyson Motsenbocker, The Collection, and Mike Edel. Shiloh has also performed alongside Zach Winters, Josiah Johnson (former member of The Head and the Heart), and Landon Elliott.
