Celebrate one more time around the sun with the annual John Henry Bash at the Laurelthirst. Founding member of Tree Frogs, Funk Shui and of course the John Henry Band,  singer songwriter John Henry Bourke has played at the Laurelthirst since 1989. This year he has assembled an all star cast featuring Kate O’Brien on vocals and violin, Chelsea Luker on saxophone, Gavi Detarr on trumpet, as well as Ben Haynor from Hammerhead on guitar. Fellow Tree Frogs Jeff Duffy on drums, Jeff Haigerty on harp and keys,  Sean the Shag Nowland on bass, will join in to play old favorites, some deep dives, as well as brand new material from John Henry’s 13 recordings and 2 film scores, including the upcoming album produced by Jon Neufeld, Apple Tree. As always, there will be cake.
