The Barbaras is the collaboration between sisters, Weezy and Sallie ford. They draw sonic inspiration from mid century country, doo wop and rock ‘n roll with a modern lyrical perspective. They released their first full length record “Oh my God Barbara” in 2022 with contributions from James Greenan (Cedar Shakes), Jeff Munger (The Sound Outside, Floating Easements), Mark Robertson (Harlowe), and Buddy Weeks (Jenny Don’t and the Spurs).

Emily Love starting playing music by busking with a repertoire of traditional country and bluegrass. She spent the next several years moving across the American West, including Montana, Wyoming and Alaska while continuing to write about her experiences .Her songwriting is literate and witty, without sacrificing a melody you can dance to (or cry to).
