PREWAR JASS AND HOKUM! ALBUM RELEASE TONIGHT!
Stone & Sue’s Forty Drop Few are a trio that play pre-war stringband, hillbilly, country blues and jazz tunes as well as originals. The trio consists of Candra Edwards, Ethan Francis and Elliot Kennedy, all on a variety of different instruments. Come join us in celebration of their first full length album as a trio, entitled, “Somethin’s Goin On Wrong”. The album drops digitally on September 29th, and there will be physical copies at the show. In addition they leave for a 7 week US tour on October 1st so this show is also a farewell and send off to their travels around the country. Opening the night up for them will be the charming husband and wife duo, the Sweet Old Souls.

Stone & Sue’s Forty Drop Few is a collaboration between Candra and Ethan Francis—who are partners in both music and life—and fiddler Elliot Kennedy. The band’s freshman record is a DIY effort of 14 songs from 1924 to 1936, along with two sneaky originals written and recorded with such faithful fluency to the time period that their modernity is indiscernible.
