It’s deja vu all over again as the John Henry Band celebrates Ground Hog’s Day at the Laurelthirst. We shall see if our intrepid all star cast sees their shadow, as singer songwriter John Henry Bourke and his dear friends play old favorites from 30 years of music making in Portland, with songs from the Tree Frog and Funk Suit catalogue, the John Henry American Standards Box Set, and new material from his upcoming release, Apple Tree.

This show features the mighty Kate O’Brien (fiddle, vocals) from Portland Family Band, Gerle Haggard and more, the incredible sexy John Morrow (saxophone, flute) from Rubberneck, Funk Shui, the powerhouse rhythm section from Tree Frogs, Funk Shui and Hammerhead – Jeff Duffy (drums) and Sean “the Shag” Nowland (bass), the Heartbreakin’ Hoosier Jeff Haigerty (keys, harmonica, vocals) from the Tree Frogs, Prine Time, Jeff Haigerty and the Slow Pokes. Finally, we are super excited to have our very special guest and dear friend from the Tree Frogs Fast Freddy Stephenson firing up the lead guitar.
