Olivia Awbrey has become a staple among Oregon songwriters. Her debut album, Dishonorable Harvest, gained recognition from NPR and Flood Magazine, and awards from the Regional Arts and Culture Council as well as the Oregon Arts Commission. An old-soul folk musician with a modern indie lens, Olivia’s stories draw from quiet resolution often lost amongst louder voices. During the pandemic Olivia began writing her follow-up album and making albums by hand.

With bone-deep lyrics and a magnetic, haunting voice, Corinne Sharlet’s music captures the imagination like the high deserts of Central Oregon where she was raised. Drawing comparisons to Lana del Ray and Anais Mitchell, the Portland based singer/songwriter writes striking songs that delicately balance unusual chord progressions with ethereal nostalgia. For Corinne, songwriting is a way to connect with the beauty in the world. “I think art is how we deal with all the uncertainty and difficulty of life; we can take painful experiences and transform the pain into something different. I find that beautiful.”

Nina Yates is a Portland, Oregon based singer songwriter who pulls you into her stories with thoughtful and distinctive songs. A slow, tender and delicate drag, yet fierce with lived emotion, the wisdom of a mother, the comfort of a sister and the heartbreak of a daughter. It didn’t occur to Yates to start writing songs until the day she first met her mother, when she was twenty-three years old. Since then she has been using songwriting to redeem hard times by turning them into beautiful artifacts.
