Shawn Brown is a Portland-based singer, songwriter and sushiritto enthusiast. While his music has always buoyed between genres, he is most often associated with soul-based guitar pop as well as the rootsier side rock & roll. After an extended break from music, Shawn returned in 2021 with the extremely well-received ‘Angel of Oakland’ EP. He then released his newest single, “Find Another Way”, ahead of the ‘The Rain Parade’ EP – which is available to stream and on vinyl as of 8/19/22. Enlisting the talents of Grecco Buratto (Shakira, Gwen Stafani, Pink) and Brendan Buckley (Shakira, Perry Farrell, Tegan and Sara), ‘The Rain Parade’ is undoubtedly the high-water mark of Shawn’s recording career and serves as a love letter to the genres that he loves most.  He explains further, “This whole thing came out of pure friendship. I’d been out of music for about 10 years and Rafa Lima just wasn’t having it. He had this magical way of coaxing me back into writing, which turned into jamming, which turned into a full blown recording project. Myself, Grecco Burrato and Rafa- we were making music for ourselves and all these other hugely talented people just kept jumping on board with what we were doing. To me, the whole EP just sounds like friends lovin’ on each other.”
